Does the word 'Nihilism' has any bad connotations on it?

It is the belief of someone who treats their self and their emotions as a supreme god who has no ability for compassion for others. Those who follow a philosophy like this says there is not point to anything but their real intentions is the escape of the conscience so they can completely follow their emotions and desires without any hindrance. They don't treat there feelings as nothing just what ever gets in their way as nothing.
