Lets say something horrible is coming, a tsunami or something, and you only have few minutes to kill yourself?

and you have no good tools in the house for it and really don't want to have to stab yourself to death..can you open a light switch and hold the hot ends? Will that do the job? Or is that not a big enough jolt and will just knock you back/out?
